Back to black

Collar dress - Primark
Knee high socks - Primark
Fedora hat - Primark
Black tote bag - Missguided (sold out)
Pointed black boots - Topshop (sold out)

After a full month of wearing colour,  this black ensemble was destined to happen. No matter how sunny the weather is going back to black is always a great option for me as it suits my skin tone (being quite pale.) It's fearless, everything goes and holds a 'thought out outfit' when in reality it took you literally five minutes to get ready. Of course I will still naturally gravitate towards prints and bright colours, however every now and again I  won't mind pulling out a little monochrome outfit. Who doesn't ?

Today I am wearing almost all Primark... shock! I actually picked the dress up last year in the sale for a lovely £6.00. At first I wasn't sure about the knee high socks, but I think it goes perfectly with the dress and adds a little quirkiness to the outfit. I had to add one last black ensemble, obviously a fedora! And black booties from Topshop which I can't seem to part with.

fringe frenzy

Fringe vest - Topshop (buy here)
Leopard print kimono - River island (sold out)
Skort - Miss Selfridge (sold out)
Lace up  flats - Newlook (buy here)

I know this crochet fringe vest was in my last outfit post, however It's something I can't seem to part from at the moment! It literally goes with anything I pull out my wardrobe.

As fringe is one of those trends that goes and comes back with a bang it will always be a 'inevitable' purchase of mine. I couldn't resist buying this beautiful treasure. To me, styling fringe is a great way to liven up any outfit, adding touches of the past with an element of carefree and boho vibes. Let's say it's a 'must have' in anyone's wardrobe! If you aren't ready to wear it as a main focal point of your outfit, you could always add a fringe clutch.

This was one of the outfits I wore at Aberdeen. The sun was out so, I decided to team the vest off with my burgundy skirt which fitted my boho look and adding a little pattern I choose my leopard print kimono.

What are you favourite fringe pieces this season?

Floral palazzos

floral palazzo pants - New Look (buy here)
Crochet fringe vest - Topshop (buy here)
Fringe bucket bag - Forever 21 (sold out)
Fedora hat - Primark

Few years back I don't think I would have ever been comfortable strutting about in a pair of floral palazzos, but since starting my blog about a year ago I've almost found my own style.

Yes it includes keeping palazzo pants forever in my wardrobe and feeling like Stevie Nicks. They are wonderful for cool summer weather, just when it's just not warm enough to adventure out with bare legs. The floral prints also means I will never get sick of wearing these all summer long. Not to mention how Surprisingly flattering they are on, As I thought they would drown me my smallish frame, however the high waistline and actually helped create the illusion of longer legs. A bonus!

What do you think of the combination of the palazzos and fringe? I initially thought a crop top, but when I picked this beautiful crochet fringe vest I was sure it would be the perfect choice.

Pepper Mayo maxi dress

Floral Maxi dress - Peppermayo (buy here)
Brown bucket bag - Primark (sold out)
Pointed cut out sandals - Bank (sold out)
Cat eye sunnies - vintage (Topshop similar here)

So you can tell from this post that I've been taking advantage of the beautiful weather that Scotland has been experiencing. Some of you might be thinking I'm crazy to be adventuring out in a maxi dress during April however, I couldn't resist. It feels like I've been waiting till forever to wear this beautiful Peppermayo maxi dress.

Yesterday was the perfect day, as me and my boyfriend took a little trip to South Queensferry. The day was fulfilled with eating ice cream and walks along the beach so the dress felt appropriate. I teamed it off with my favourite cut out pointed sandals, brown bucket bag and my favourite sunnies I picked up from a vintage store in Glasgow. It did get a little chilly, and I could have done with my suede jacket, but I'll remember for next time.

Hope you like this look!

Dreaming of Coachella

lace smock - Boohoo (buy similar here)
Lace up flats - New Look (buy here)
Fedora hat - Primark
Fringe bag - Forever 21 (Mango buy similar here)

Longer nights, warmer days and glorious sunshine can only mean thing, summer is finally on its way! We can now opt towards loose maxi clothing, avoiding our monochromic ways (we will try) and experiment with different patterns. It's the 'Bohemian Coachella' inspired looks which I gravitate towards. Mostly because I love that care free, spirited look. If only I were a hippie!

I've looked no further than boohoo to help me out for the summer. This white lace smock dress is literally one of the prettiest staple pieces I have in my wardrobe. I always worry about wearing oversized dresses, however it's surprisingly flattering on and can you believe I bought this for around £20.00?! I seriously advise anyone who's needing a good summer stock up and on a budget to head over to boohoo.

Adding to my boho look I choose my gorgeous lace up ballerina shoes that almost every blogger has been lusting over recently. I managed to get a pair before they sold out as they are now my holy grail statement flats. My fedora (obviously) it's stuck to my head these days and my fringe bucket bag. All which effortlessly pulled my boho inspired look together.

Stay tuned for more boho Coachella looks.
